Competition Format
Competition Format
The competition will begin with a written exam covering a variety of neuroscience topics. The top 9 scorers will advance to the next stage, a live Q&A round conducted in a game-show-style format. This final stage will be open to public viewing.

The live Q&A responses will be scored by a panel of neuroscience experts, and the winner will qualify to represent Oregon at the USA National Brain Bee competition. Registered participants will receive further details, including study materials and guidelines, closer to the event date.

- Keynote lectures by prominent neuroscientists.
- Q&A panel for students and parents with neuroscientists and healthcare professionals.
- Neuroscience demonstrations by students and faculty from OHSU.
Eligibility and Restrictions
Eligibility and Restrictions
- Open to students ages 14-18 by the competition date.
- Students may only participate in one Local Brain Bee per school year.
- Each participant may compete in the International Brain Bee Championship only once.
- Participants must be able to attend the competition in-person.
